Consultation and Supervision Services

Somatic Experiencing Consultation

My name is Rebecca Ehrke and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner who has been working in the field of trauma for over 20 years. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2000 from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology - Chicago. In 2007, I began my training in SE, not realizing that it would transform me personally and professionally. In 2012, I received my SEP Certificate and have been blessed with opportunities to coordinate and assist at SE trainings in New York, Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City. I am passionate about SE and have experienced the life-changing gifts that this model has offered me and my clients.

In 2019, I began my training in EMDR and am now a Certified EMDR therapist. I have truly enjoyed learning how to integrate SE and EMDR and have been astounded by the depth of healing that my clients have experienced through the integration of these models.

In addition, I have worked with clients who have eating disorders and substance use disorders since 2000 in a variety of residential, PHP, IOP and outpatient settings. I was also fortunate enough to be able to train with Richard Schwartz, founder of Internal Family Systems, and bring this work to my SE practice. My specializations are eating disorders, addictions, sexual trauma and C-PTSD.

I am approved to provide personal sessions at the Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced levels. I am also approved to provide individual case consults at the Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced levels. In addition, I can provide small group case consults at the Beginning and Intermediate levels.

Currently, I offer SE individual case consultation, SE group case consultation and SE and Eating disorders group case consultation.

Supervision for Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselors and Clinical  Psychologists

My name is Rebecca Ehrke and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner who has been working in the field of trauma for over 20 years. I decided to become a clinical supervisor because I strongly believe that having a strong mentor is essential for therapists who are beginning to develop their professional identity.

As a supervisor, I am committed to supporting a supervisee’s professional development through conceptualizing cases, developing a strong professional code of ethics, exploring and expanding their clinical interests and challenging their learning edges. I also work hard to cultivate a relationship with my supervisees that allows them to feel safe to be vulnerable, share struggles, and pursue new ideas and clinical interests.

Because of my training in Somatic Experiencing (SE), EMDR and IFS, I bring a wide range of knowledge and experience to supervision. I have worked extensively with eating disorders, complex trauma, substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, grief/loss and trauma-related disorders. I love being able to share my experience with new therapists and hear how they bring their own unique perspective to the cases we discuss.

In addition to supervision, I have my own clinical practice and coordinate local trainings in SE and other somatically-related workshops. I am also approved through Somatic Experiencing International to offer personal SE sessions and case consults to Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced level SE students. I also recently became certified in EMDR and love integrating SE, IFS and EMDR in my clinical practice. In addition, I work hard to continue my own personal and professional development by attending trainings and participating in two monthly case consultation groups.

Areas of clinical focus:

  • Complex trauma

  • Eating Disorder

  • Substance Abuse

  • Codependency

I feel so honored to be able to supervise new therapists and see them evolve from academic students to competent, capable clinicians. I value each and every one of my previous supervisees and have enjoyed learning about how they have continued to develop in their professional careers.
