Therapists in Kirkwood guide your healing journey
Rebecca Ehrke, Psy.D., SEP
My name is Rebecca Ehrke and I am so privileged to be the practice owner of LIHC. It has been a dream of mine for many years to create a practice that treats trauma in the whole person.
Being in the mental health field for over 20 years, I have seen firsthand that trauma cannot be effectively treated by talk therapy alone. Although talk therapy is very effective and useful for many issues, neuroscience research has shown that it does not reach the subcortical parts of the brain where trauma lives.
I have dedicated my life to studying ways to effectively access trauma that has been deeply held in one's body, mind and spirit. As a result, I have had the honor of witnessing so many heal and live the lives they were meant to have.
In 2007, I began a life-changing journey by completing the 3-year Somatic Experiencing Professional Training Certificate Program and becoming a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Since then, I have become an approved SE session provider and SE consultant at all training levels and also provide supervision to Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselors.
In addition, I am a Certified EMDR Therapist. Currently, I utilize Somatic Experiencing, EMDR and Internal Family Systems at LIHC to treat the effects of trauma. My specializations include addictions, eating disorders, attachment trauma, parental stress and traumatic grief though I work with a wide variety of mental health issues.
My standard rate for individual therapy is $150.00. I do not currently accept insurance but can provide a statement for out-of-network reimbursement.

Patrice Bathon, MA, NCC, PLPC
Are you looking for more clarity, insight, or healing? People often seek help or feel the need for change at a crossroads or while facing a challenging life situation. As a therapist, I will help you navigate situations like this while also allowing you to explore a deeper and more purposeful connection with yourself through a safe, meaningful therapeutic relationship.
In therapy, I assist individuals who are dealing with trauma, stress, life or career transitions, anxiety, depression, feeling stuck, disconnected, divorce, medical diagnoses, and grief, to develop a deeper understanding of themselves while moving through the healing process.
Our therapy sessions will be a collaboration where your needs and preferences are at the forefront. In my therapeutic work with you, I will draw from various approaches, including depth psychology, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and somatic work. Together, we will identify your unique goals and areas where you seek healing, growth, and change.
I am a mental health professional with years of experience working within several diverse professional backgrounds. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a law enforcement officer and later, as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and behavioral health unit. This unique professional journey has given me a deeper understanding of life's complexities and healing processes. My personal and professional experiences have been invaluable life experiences that enhance my understanding, insight, and connection to people.
If you want to learn more about working with me and how I can best assist you, don't hesitate to contact me for a consultation to see if we are a good fit.
My standard rate for individual therapy is $115.00. I am not able to accept insurance but I do offer a sliding scale from $70.00 to $100.00.
